The Toyota Corolla has consistently been one of the most popular compact cars on the market, as well as a perennial best-seller among all vehicle types. Cars.com reviewer David Thomas suggests that this might not make a whole lot of sense. Stepping into the 2009 Corolla XRS, Thomas found several areas where the Corolla’s competitors have this performance-oriented trim beat.
